Michelle Garrido, (Associate)


Michelle Garrido was born and raised in Miami, Florida. Ms. Garrido earned her Juris Doctorate from Florida International University College of Law. While in law school, Ms. Garrido was a Certified Legal Intern at the FIU College of Law’s Family and Children Advocacy Clinic where she handled divorce proceedings, dependency cases, and domestic violence cases, and she partook in two hearings before the Family Division of Miami-Dade County’s 11th Judicial Circuit. Ms. Garrido also interned at the Coral Gables City Attorney’s Office where she assisted the City Commissioners and the City Attorney with legal issues related to zoning, municipal ordinances and procedures.

Prior to joining Jones & Adams, Ms. Garrido clerked at a Miami litigation firm where she gained significant experience in insurance coverage, breach of contract claims, and other business disputes.

As an associate of Jones & Adams, Ms. Garrido practices in the areas of Complex Business Litigation, Officers' and Directors' Liability, Securities and Shareholders' Rights Litigation, Institutional Insurance Coverage Disputes, Arbitration, Construction Law, Corporate Governance, Corporate Law, Intellectual Property, and Insurance Defense.

Ms. Garrido was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2013. She is fluent in Spanish and is an active member of the Cuban American Bar Association.
